Terms of service
1. Scope
These terms govern purchases and downloads of synthetic invoice machine-learning datasets (“datasets”) via Mandavo Synthetic Datasets at datasets.mandavotech.com (“service”).
2. Service description
The service offers downloadable release packages (ZIP archives) containing synthetic invoice images, JSON ground-truth annotations, manifests, checksums, and optional QA artifacts. Dataset tiers and sample counts are described on the Pricing page.
A free sample tier is available after registration and e-mail verification. Paid tiers are sold as one-time purchases; there is no subscription.
3. Information on digital products
Before purchase we provide the following information on the website and at checkout:
- Main characteristics: synthetic invoice PNG images, JSON annotations with word-level bounding boxes from DOM rendering, manifest and statistics, train/validation/test splits where applicable, SHA-256 checksums, and QA artifacts for paid tiers as described on the product pages.
- Functionality: datasets are intended for machine-learning research, model training, evaluation and benchmarking in document/OCR/IDP workflows. They are not real invoices and must not be presented as genuine customer documents.
- Compatibility and interoperability: files use standard formats (PNG, UTF-8 JSON, JSONL, CSV). Integration with your ML framework, storage and training pipeline is your responsibility. We document schema and export formats in each release README and manifest.
- Price: shown in EUR on the Pricing page and in Stripe Checkout before payment. No VAT is charged or shown in accordance with § 19 UStG (German small business regulation).
4. Account
An account with verified e-mail is required for downloads. You must provide accurate registration data and keep credentials confidential.
5. Purchase and delivery
5.1 The contract for a paid tier is concluded when you complete Stripe Checkout. We confirm the contract on a durable medium (e-mail with purchase details) in accordance with § 312f BGB.
5.2 Prices shown at checkout apply in EUR. Payment is processed by Stripe; invoices are provided electronically.
5.3 After successful payment, the dataset ZIP is available immediately from your account downloads page. The product is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. By ticking the consent box at checkout you expressly agree that we begin delivery before the withdrawal period ends and you confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery of the digital content has begun (§ 356 (6) BGB). 6. Licence
You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased datasets internally and to use models trained on them for your own commercial or non-commercial purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly republish the dataset files (including partial extracts) except as required for academic citation of results. Contractors and group companies acting on your behalf may use the data for your projects if they are bound by equivalent restrictions. Synthetic data does not contain real personal data; nevertheless, do not represent samples as genuine customer documents.
7. Availability and updates
Release ZIPs correspond to a documented product tier and config hash in the manifest. We may update generation pipelines; your purchase entitles you to the tier purchased at the time of payment, not to future regenerated releases unless we expressly grant otherwise.
8. Withdrawal
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal as described in the withdrawal policy. Use the online withdrawal function or contact hello@mandavotech.com.
9. Statutory warranty for digital products
If you are a consumer, statutory rights regarding defects in digital products apply (in particular §§ 327 ff. BGB). We supply the datasets in the documented file formats with the validation and sample counts stated for the purchased tier. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, we do not warrant fitness for a particular ML use case beyond the documented formats and product description. If the digital content is defective, you have the statutory remedies (e.g. supplementary performance, contract termination in serious cases). 10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise our liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage for simple negligence, except for breach of essential contractual obligations.
11. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence remains unaffected where applicable. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is Stuttgart, Germany.
